The Spies, a short story by Indigo
Once upon a time there were two girls and two boys. The older girl was named Juila. She was 14. The younger girl was named Maya. She was 10. The older boy was named Ford. He was 12. The younger boy was named Dylyn. he was 8.
The girls were spying on the boys. Tomorrow they were going on a a spy mission. The boys were going to the park. They were soooo excited! They had been planning it for such a long time.
Ding! Ding! It is morning time. They get dressed in black clothes, and they skateboard to the park.
At the park they hid behind the biggest tree and looked for the boys and could not see them. The boys were spying on them.
On the last mission the boys saw them and started spying on them. The girls did not know this. The girls started whispering. They finally figured it out. Then they saw them.
The girls acted like they did not see them, but they really did. Now they were both spying on each other.
As they were walking, they ran into each other. All of them were sooo surprised! They all ran home to tell their moms!
The End
__________
Moral of this story: Always run home to tell your mom.
__________
WHERE WE ARE: Anchored just north of Titusville, Mile 877
WHERE WE STARTED: Anchored just south of Memorial Bridge in Daytona Beach, Mile 830
THERE TO HERE: 47 miles, 6.5 hours, Nancy and Jamey at the helm. We saw tons of dolphins and were impressed with how much they were frolicking today. Jamey saw one that looked like it was throwing a ball around with its nose. Jamey also saw a couple of manatees. There was also one area we passed through where the air was filled with soaring pelicans and great blue herons, and the riverbank was lined with several snowy egrets. My suspicion of a lot of fish in the water attracting these birds was confirmed by the multiple fishermen and women that also lined the riverbanks.

Our day in pictures:
We left Daytona Beach around 9 am. |
It is always a little scary looking a the tip of the mast approach the bottom of the bridge. |
But it's always really cool to be under the bridge. |
Sour milk = fluffy pancakes! |
It became a really foggy day. |
Sage only enters the cockpit via her special hatch. |
Ukulele performance in the back berth. |
Crying in the back berth. |
A fort in the cockpit. Don't tell the coast guard she doesn't have a life jacket on. |
Watercolors. |
Still foggy. |
Phoenix finally discovered chess. Sage has been playing for a couple of months already. She sometimes takes liberties with how the pieces move. |
After leaving the wide expanse of the Mosquito Lagoon, Jamey liked how narrow the entrance to this cut was. |
Looking for tonight's home. |
I love watching pelicans in flight. |
Still playing chess. |
No worries about the mast hitting the bridge this time. |
Manatee zones all over the place. |
Snowy white egret. |
Whew! What a day! |
Dolphins! Starfish! Warm water! It all sounds great! I am sitting in my office looking at google earth / maps to see where you are and have been - and where you are headed. From my desk - it looks like you aren't very far from Bimini - but you are already in tropical beach mode! Enjoy and please keep the Blog posts coming!
ReplyDeleteYup, Jamey finally relaxed with the warmer weather. How did he ever survive growing up in Massachusetts?! Bimini is definitely very close though still around 3 weeks before we cross so that we can spend Christmas with the Liu family.
